Tidal Waves On Indonesian Waters
The release of BMG (Agency for Meteorology and Geophysics) The high tidal waves are still to hit Indonesian waters up to the end of this week. Taufiq Hidayah of the BMG officials said "Three to 4-meter tidal waves are predicted to occur in Arafuru Sea and waters south of Merauke, Papua, jeopardizing all types of vessels".
Meanwhile, 2-3 meter waves will rage over waters of Mentawai Islands, south of Bengkulu up to Lampung, southwest of Sunda Straits, south of West Java, Banda Sea, Aru Islands and Arafuru Sea. At this time the transportation ministry has not yet issued any warnings or orders banning vessels to operate.
